A small collection of information on Valeda, the talking transparent lady. Valeda is the star attraction of the Kansas Learning Center for Health. Created by a medical artist in Cologne, Germany. She is a life size, plexiglass figure whose organs light up one by on as she tells the wonderful story of how they work. The reported cost of Valeda in 1965 was $14,500. Digitization funded by the National Historical Publications and Records Commission through the Kansas State Historical Records Advisory Board.
