This Great Bend aspect vessel section was recovered from the Saxman site in Rice County and donated to the Kansas Historical Society in 2016. These ceramic sherds were reconstructed by the donor. The vessel has shell temper, a smooth exterior surface, diagonal lines on the lip, and loop handles. The Saxman site, a large Great Bend aspect village, was occupied by the ancestral Wichita.
