This is a portrait of Mary Long Neck, Cheyenne Chief Stone's daughter and the wife of Amos Chapman, an army scout. Chief Stone was a headman in his tribe, and they settled along the river near Seiling, Oklahoma, southeast of Camp Supply about 40 miles.
