This program, presumably printed by the Taiwanese government, lists Governor Carlin's scheduled activities during a visit to the Republic of China (Taiwan). During this trip, Governor Carlin spoke about trade issues at the United States-Republic of China Joint Economic Council. He was chairman of the National Governors' Association at this time. Governor Carlin returned to Taiwan again in 1986.
