Hon. J. C. Fremont
Dear Sir
My friend J. S. Emery, Esq., of this State, is about going East into
the Campaign
for Fremont & Dayton. Col. Emery is an excellent Stump Speaker &
can
do good service in the cause. Any favors you can show him will be duly
appreciated
by
Yours very truly
C. Robinson
Affairs here are as bad as they can be. Tyranny rules with a rod of
iron. It
is unknown as yet whether Pierce has fully decided to hang us or not.
However,
if our hanging can change this infernal administration they will not make
much
by the investment.
