Sir your note of this date inquiring if I have charged you with being connected with the underground Rail Road,--came to hand this P.M., In answer to which I have to say,- as I understand the term, underground Rail Road, I believe there is an inseparable connection between it-and the republican party,--as for applying the term personally to you, it is simply fals—and now let me assure you that in this Canvass your personal character shall be as sacred to me as my own,,I have already refused to hear or entertain tales,--as to what you should have said as to [xxxx]
