I sent you to Osaukee to secure father's land $4.250
I took with me to Osaukee & left with you 2.515
Our commission on Faut Cash (multiplying the percentage by the whole sum which, I find, is right) will be $9.000 x 7 1/2 675. $7.440
The 915 bought at $4.38 1/2 cents came to (say) $4.012.27
Add Stanley quarter 1.030
Add new purchase in R 18, which, if appraised at $2.00, is 712.
Add disputed fraction, say, 400 - 6.154.27 Balance on hand $1,285.73 Deduct cash sent by Faut which I have retained here 1.000
Leaving to cover all incidental expenses - $ 285.73

4th The fraction of 48 41 and 66 34 acres adjoining the Kaw land directly opposite Topeka.
My sole object in buying would be to have a R R depot on the land, & lay out a town. Unless the land is at least as well fit for that as the Stanley quarter is, I do not want any landthereat all. The R R will run directly through the three first named quarters. Buy nothing further-- Bring your surplus cash home, unless you can makethe above named purchases in the bottom opposite Topeka. Come back as soon as you can.
