Dated 1899 to 1910 (this item was reused at a later date), this pocket ledger belonged to Lloyd Bascom Ferrell, the founder of the Ferrell Ranch (est. 1888). Lloyd was born in 1852 in French Creek, Virginia (later West Virginia) to parents Garland Thompson Ferrell and Celina Webster Ferrell. Following the death of his parents at a young age, Lloyd lived with relatives in Illinois before traveling west and eventually settling in Wichita, Kansas.
