This steel knife with a wooden handle, hand carved by a member of the Ottawa tribe, entered the Kansas Historical Society collections in 1956 from Beloit College in Wisconsin. The handle is wrapped in twisted cordage, now beginning to loosen, and has "336" written in pencil along with incised scratches and tally marks.
