While this may not be the best looking bow in the Kansas Historical Society collections it is certainly one of the most interesting. The recurved bow is fully sinew backed and sinew reinforced at the handle and tips. The sinew wrapped nocks are stronger than carved nocks. At some point during its use the bow broke, splitting the wood, breaking and loosening the sinew.
