This plaster cast of a petroglyph was made in 1976 at an archeological site in Ellsworth County. It was donated to the Kansas Historical Society in 1989. It depicts a shamanistic figure with upraised arms and a horn headdress. Plaster casting can erode and damage petroglyphs, it is best to leave petroglyphs unaltered, so they can continue to be studied and enjoyed by all.
