This side panel from a Pinex bottle was recovered from a farmstead in Chase County and donated to the Kansas Historical Society in 2005. Pinex was a cough remedy manufactured by the Pinex Company of Fort Wayne, Indiana. The concentrated cough medicine was mixed with sugar and water by the user and included alcohol, chloroform, and oil of pine tar in its ingredient list.
