This series of five United States Geological Survey State index maps showing Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Colorado are included with the Kroh Collection to delineate the routes of historic frontier trails, and to aid the researcher in tracking trail routes. Each State Index Map shows a delineated series of named, topographic quadrangles. Where the historic trail routes through a designated quadrangle, that quadrangle has been labeled with a respective number. It was upon these 7.5-Minutes Series, and some 15-Minutes Series, quadrangle maps that Mr. Kroh delineated the routing of the historic Santa Fe Trail, and segments of the Oregon-California Trail. Lee Kroh did not assemble or use these maps, but they were assembled and paired with his collection to aid researchers in their use. The quadrangle maps of the Kroh Collection can be found at these units; 505734, 505735, 505736, 505737.
