These pottery rim sherds were recovered from an archeological site in Mitchell County by Kansas Historical Society archeologists and volunteers in 1980. Three of the rim sherds are decorated on thickened rims with incised horizontal lines, pinched lines, and tool trails. The smallest sherd has a collared rim with horizontal tool trailed lines. The site is a Central Plains tradition Solomon River phase habitation site dating approximately to 690 - 790 CE.
