These series of photographs come from Dr. Arthur E. Hertzler, the founder of Halstead Hospital in Halstead, Kansas. These photographs were taken on land owned by Dr. Hertzler called Crow's Nest. Crow's Nest was the name given to Dr. Hertzler's county home that was located southeast of Halstead, Kansas. Digitization funded by the National Historical Publications and Records Commission through the Kansas State Historical Records Advisory Board.
