In this video interview Ed Schwerdt describes his family leaving Russia to work for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway, growing up in the "Little Russia" community in North Topeka, Kansas, and following his parent's and grandparent's footsteps by working for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway. While working for the railroad in Topeka, he served as the Secretary to the General Superintendent of Transportation and as Personal Secretary to the President of the Railroad, Fred Gurley.
