These toy gun fragments were recovered in 1995 during a highway project undertaken by Kansas Historical Society archeologists at a Chautauqua County farmstead. The gun barrels, cylinder, trigger, and "PEACE MAKER" grip represent hours of fun for a child on the farmstead. One of the artifacts has been cleaned by electrolysis which passes an electrical current through a liquid solution to separate the rust from the artifact.
