These three plate fragments were recovered during 1995 archeological investigations at a farmstead in Chautauqua County. The sherd on the left was made at the Alfred Meakin potteries, in Tunstall, Staffordshire, England post 1897. The sherd in the center shows the makers' mark of W. & E. Corn of Burselm, Staffordshire, England and dates from 1864 to 1891. The sherd on the right shows the makers' mark of J. & G. Meakin of Hanley, Staffordshire, England, and indicates that this plate was made post 1891.
