This set of postcards represent the second Stafford County Courthouse in St. John, Kansas. Construction on the two-story building began in 1886 at the southwest corner of the square. The structure features triangular shape pediments above the horizon of the building. A cupola rising from the middle of the roof is visible as well. The facility served as the county courthouse of Stafford County, Kansas for a number of years until a new courthouse was completed in 1929.
