This bottle fragment was recovered from Constitution Hall in Lecompton during excavations in 1988 by Kansas Historical archeologists and crew members. It is embossed with the partial advertisement for Frank Miller's Crown Dressing. Other advertisements of the time note that the dressing was specifically "For Ladies' and Children's Boots and Shoes" and "all black leather goods." The manufacturer, Frank Miller and Company operated first out of Warsaw, New York, and then later out of New York City.
