This insignia was collected during a survey in 2017. The brass eagle has arrow in one claw and a wreath in the other. The shield on the eagle's chest has the letter "C," indicating Company C. The attachment on the reverse is broken. The site may be the location of one of General George Custer's and the Seventh Cavalry's camp sites near Fort Hays in Ellis County.
