This unidentified artifact was once attached to another artifact. It is heavy for its size, possibly made of lead, was pinched or crimped at the top, and later hit by farm equipment. It was collected from the Wullschleger site in Marshall County and donated to the Kansas Historical Society in 1961. The site was occupied periodically throughout the Early, Middle and Late Ceramic periods. This artifact may date even later to the Historic period.
