These two ramrod holders, somewhat crushed, were recovered from the Blue Earth site, a Kansa Indian village in Pottawatomie County. These were recovered during a survey in 2012 by Kansas Historical Society archeologists. The ramrod holder, sometimes called a ramrod pipe, was located at the fore end of a gun. Many lodge depressions were still visible on the surface of the site into the 1880s.
