These letters, spanning 1885, are from the Grand Army of the Republic Department of Kansas as well as other government officials and individuals regarding the Soldiers and Sailors Reunion to Kansas Governor John Martin. They wrote about the fourth annual reunion including the logistics of, and invitations to, it. The reunion happened from September 29th through October 1st, 1885 in Topeka, Kansas.
