These letters, spanning 1885 to 1888, are from companies, farmers, and other individuals regarding livestock matters to Kansas Governor John Martin. The letters cover various topics including inquiring about moving cattle to Kansas, laws, disease, the Livestock Sanitary Commission, quarantine fees, rules and regulations, etc. Texas, Ohio, and Colorado were the top states involved with cattle shipments and other livestock issues connected to Kansas.
