These letters, spanning 1885 to 1887, are from Kansas state officials and other individuals regarding the Justices of the Peace for Rawlins County Kansas to Kansas Governor John Martin. The letters discuss the resignation of predecessors as well as the recommendation and appointment of Justices of the Peace. Those appointed were Moses W. King, W. M. Kay, James Godwin, and W. H. Girten.
