These letters, spanning July to September 1886, are from the American Forestry Congress and other individuals regarding the American Forestry Congress annual meeting to Kansas Governor John Martin. Most of the letters discuss the appointment of delegates to the annual meeting. A copy of the meeting agenda is among the letters. The governor appointed L. D. Bailey, W. S. Filton, and J. F. Martin as the delegates. The annual American Forestry Congress meeting was held in Denver, Colorado on September 14th-17th, 1886.
