These letters, spanning 1885 to 1888, are from government officials and other individuals regarding the State Veterinarian to Kansas Governor John Martin. Some wrote asking for the re-appointment of A. A. Holcombe, while others wrote recommending the appointment of F. W. Cook and R. C. Moore. Additionally, F. W. Cook, W. P. King, and T. E. White wrote applying for the position.
