This letter, dated October 12th, 1888, is from J. F. Simpson regarding his appointment to the Kansas Supreme Court to Kansas Governor John Martin. Simpson wrote applying for an appointment onto the Kansas Supreme Court. Simpson wanted to replace a current judge that the Chief Justice, Albert H. Horton, said would be resigning.
