These letters, spanning 1885 to 1887, are from J. R. Braidwood, the state mine inspector, regarding his general affairs to Kansas Governor John Martin. Braidwood wrote mainly about his salary as well as his annual reports in terms of collecting statistics, expenses, sending the information, and receiving copies.
