These letters are from the Kansas Institution for the Education of the Blind to Kansas Governor John Martin. The letters discuss commencement, request a visit, the possible establishment of a National University for the Education of the Blind, and a summary of a meeting with the board with the mention of establishing the free higher education university. The institute is still in operation today under the name Kansas School for the Blind.
