A letter from Labette County Clerk, W. A. Starr, asks Kansas Governor St. John if there is still a reward for the arrest of Frank McPherson. McPherson is accused of murder in Labette County, Kansas on, April 15, 1873. Correspondence from Governor St. John in response to a letter from J. S. Waters asks Waters to send him papers of the party murdered by McPherson, and after he receives them, he will offer the $500 reward.
