A letter from W. R. Cowley informs Kansas Governor St. John of the death of an individual assaulted by William and Hannah Edington. In Cowley's letter, he requests the Governor to increase the reward for the capture of the Edington's. Another letter from W. R. Cowley advises the Governor that William and Hannah Edington are somewhere in Missouri or Arkansas and asks the Governor to please offer a reward for the arrest and conviction of the two assaulters.
