A letter from W. R. Cowley requests Kansas Governor St. John offer a reward for the arrest of James W. Fuller for the assault of an officer, with an intent to kill. A separate letter from F. C. Farr, Private Secretary to the Governor of Missouri, informs Governor St. John a warrant has been issued for the rendition of James W. Fuller. Other letters are from the Sheriff's Office of Columbus, Kansas regarding the requisition of James W. Fuller as well as bills for the reward for the capture of Fred Young, Charles Daulton, and James W. Fuller.
