A letter from E. P. Bancroft provides Kansas Governor St. John details of his arrest, trial, and conviction. In the letter Bancroft asks the Governor to pardon his remaining term. A separate letter from U. A. Albin, a Representative from the Kansas State Legislature, approves the Governors refusal to pardon to E. P. Bancroft from his release as the correct action. The last document is a copy of the verdict and judgment of E. P. Bancroft on October 21, 1879.
