Included here are several letters to Kansas Governor St. John that discuss topics such as county appointments. One letter acknowledges the receipt of commission census taker for Stafford county on May 2, 1879. These letters also include a request to Kansas Governor St. John to delay the appointments of certain Stafford county officers due to a movement on foot in Stafford county to defeat the expressed will of the citizens in that county.
