A letter from the Clerk and Commissioners of Osage County recommends to Kansas Governor St. John a person to fill the vacancy of Coroner for their county. A separate letter on January 15, 1881 from the Office of County Clerk for Osage County certifies to Kansas Governor St. John that there is a vacancy in Office of Coroner. A letter from the Probate Judge informs the Governor that the present County Surveyor is resigning, in his letter he recommends a person to fill the position.
