The documents in this file talk about a possible resignation in the Office of Probate Judge for Franklin County. A letter from A. W. Benson of Ottawa, Kansas recommends to Kansas Governor St. John a fit person to fill the position should the position become vacant. Other letters are applications and recommendations for certain persons to be appointed Probate Judge. Accompanying these letters is a request to Governor St. John not to appoint a Probate Judge for Franklin County until after the County Convention.
