A letter from Charles M. Hawkes of New Haven, Connecticut asking Kansas Governor St. John to appoint his son as Commissioner of Deeds for Kansas in Connecticut. Another letter from Mr. Hawkes thanking the governor for appointing his son the position. There is a letter from Charles B. Hawkes thanking Governor St. John for the appointment of Commissioner of Deeds.
