This file includes letters to Kansas Governor St. John in relation to Indian Raids in Kansas. Several of the letters written to Governor St. John recommend specific individuals to be part of a commission to investigate recent Indian raids on the western and north borders of Kansas. One of the documents included in this file is a petition for a certain person to be appointed as part of the commission, this includes signatures from many citizens of Kansas.
