These letters are from various individuals on the National Soldiers Home board to Kansas Governor G. W. Glick. The board wrote trying to establish a U.S. soldiers home in Atchison, Kansas. Ultimately, Leavenworth, Kansas was selected instead. The soldiers home is now called the Dwight D. Eisenhower Medical Center.
