These letters are from various individuals regarding the World's Industrial and Cotton Centennial Exposition in New Orleans. The letters cover the regulations of the exposition, requesting visits, appointing/endorsing commissioners for the exposition, and exposition matters (i.e.- available space for Kansas exhibition, budget, and exhibit material). The exposition was a World's Fair held in New Orleans from December 16, 1884 until June 1, 1885. At that time, one third of the world's cotton passed through New Orleans hence the chosen location.
