This series of letters are pulled from the correspondence files of Kansas Governor George Washington Glick. They are about the murder case in Labette County, Kansas involving the Bender Family, sometimes referred to as the Bloody Benders. The family consisted of John Bender; his wife, Elvira Bender; son, John, Jr.; and daughter, Kate.
