A letter on November 4, 1876, from Joseph T. Morton, asks to be appointed Agent for the sale of Kansas Lands and to solicit emigration from New England. A letter on June 9, 1874, from George de Pardonet, Land and Immigration Department of Paris, France, concerning French immigration to Kansas. A letter on September 15, 1874, from Hamilton Fish of Washington D.C., regarding the revocation of the commission of George de Pardonet as Special Emigration Agent in Europe for Kansas. A letter on February 8, 1876, from Arkansas Governor A. H. Garland, advises Governor Osborn of the convention being held in New Orleans to discuss immigration and requests Osborn have someone there to represent the State of Kansas.
