The documents in this file pertain to the extradition of Kansas criminals in other states. This description does not account for all the documents in this file. A letter from the Secretary of Missouri Governor, R. D. Slawson, states they have captured James Stuart, charged with murder in Cowley County, Kansas, and asks if Governor Osborn will send requisition papers. A letter on April 9, 1875, from John Francis, encloses an application for a requisition of Robert Sprague, who fled to New York and is charged with embezzlement. A letter from W. D. Webb, County Attorney, forwards a copy of the requisition papers sent to the Governor of Arkansas for the arrest of Morrissy. A letter on May 1, 1876, from Frank M. Love, sends papers to the Governor of Nebraska for the requisition of John Clayton, charged with breaking jail in Kansas.
