A report on August 19, 1874, from Captain C. M. Ricks of Hutchinson, Kansas, gives an account of the conduct of certain individuals of his command. A report from Jesse Pickett of Medicine Lodge states the disorderly affairs in Bourbon County. A petition from citizens of Chautauqua County, Kansas, recommends Henry O. Lyster as Probate Judge.
