A report on August 19, 1874, from Captain C. M. Ricks of Hutchinson, Kansas, gives an account of the conduct of certain individuals of his command. A report from Jesse Pickett of Medicine Lodge states the disorderly affairs in Bourbon County. A petition from citizens of Chautauqua County, Kansas, recommends Henry O. Lyster as Probate Judge. A letter recommends specific individuals as County Officials such as Commissioners and Probate Judge, and Clerk in Elk and Chautauqua Counties. A letter of application from R. G. Ward for the position of or similar to County Superintendent of Public Instruction for Chautauqua County. The following documents pertain to other matters of counties in the State of Kansas.
