A letter on April 27, 1874, from Donnell Lawson, gives thanks to Kansas Governor Osborn for tendering the position of Fiscal Agent for the State of Kansas. In the letter, Donnell requests the Governor forward the Bond to the New York office. A telegraph from Donnell Lawson, on May 6, 1874, asks if the Bond has been forwarded to them. A letter on May 20, 1874, from Gilman Son Co., states before they can pay the Bond, they must have the new treasurers signature.
