A letter on February 8, 1873, from Secretary of the Agricultural College, R. D. Parker, gives a list of Regents and their terms in office. In the letter, Parker states that there is a vacancy and recommends ex. Governor James H. Harvey for the position. A letter on January 16, 1875, from J. A. Anderson, forwards a letter from Professor Kedzie. A letter on March 13, 1875, from Burt L. Kingsburg, requests a delay in the appointment of Regent until after the annual meeting in April.
