The following documents cover various topics in relation to the State of Kansas. This description does not encompass all the documents in this file. A letter on January 26, 1876, from W. E. C. Lyons, acknowledges the receipt of the letter introducing him to Honorable W. R. Brown and requests a copy of the message and insurance report. A letter on April 14, 1875, from Missouri Governor C. H. Hardin, asks to revise the rules of his department as the granting requisitions and appointments of agents and wants a copy of the present rules in use. A letter on March 13, 1873, from Nebraska Governor Robert W. Furnas, encloses a copy of the preamble and resolutions of his state for Kansas Governor Osborn, the President of the Senate, and one for the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
