A petition on January 4, 1872, to have A. A. Carnahan appointed as the Probate Judge of Cloud County, Kansas, recently made vacant by the resignation of Judge John Fowler. A letter of resignation from John Fowler to Kansas Governor Harvey on April 5, 1869, for the Office of Probate. Another petition requesting the Governor appoint Samuel Doran as Probate Judge for Cloud County.
